Job Description

Consultant supporting resource mobilization and partnerships for WHO in the Western Pacific Region. Focus on engagement strategies with donors and partners in a public health context.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of engagement strategies with state and non-state actors for joint programming and funding opportunities for WHO at the Regional level.
  • Conduct research on existing and potential partners.
  • Initiate mapping of prospective donors.
  • Support liaison with existing and prospective partners to strengthen relationships and ensure effective donor stewardship.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to gather inputs and ensure alignment of proposals with programmatic priorities and donor expectations.
  • Assist the WPRO Health Emergencies Programme in developing communication strategies and crafting tailored messaging and materials.

Requirements:

  • First university degree in International Relations, Political Science, Social Sciences, Communications, Marketing, Management, Accounting, Financial Management, or Public/Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience at the national and/or international level in public/external relations, advocacy, partnerships, resource mobilization, and/or grants management.
  • Expert level in English (read – write- speak).
  • Desirable: Expert level in Mandarin (read-write-speak).
