Job Description
Investment banking expert designing grading criteria and scoring banking deliverables. Helping Mercor’s AI research partners train and improve frontier models through expert evaluation.
Responsibilities:
- Design precise, task-specific grading criteria for real-world banking deliverables
- Evaluate financial models, valuation analyses, pitch decks and CIMs, deal memos, and board and committee materials
- Score AI-generated and human work samples against defined criteria
- Provide detailed written justifications for every score
- Apply consistent, evidence-based judgment so scores are reproducible and defensible
- Incorporate structured feedback from senior reviewers and iterate quickly
- Complete a brief assessment or provide additional information if requested
- Work on projects focused on training and enhancing AI systems
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional investment banking experience (associate level or above)
- Background at leading global investment banks or elite advisory boutiques across M&A, coverage, or capital markets
- Deep fluency in three-statement and transaction modeling, including DCF, LBO, comparables, and merger math
- Strong valuation judgment
- Experience with deal-process materials
- Understanding of formatting and accuracy standards for bank-quality work product
- Exceptionally strong written communication and ability to provide detailed justifications
- Detail-oriented, consistent, and comfortable having judgment reviewed and calibrated against peers
- Prior experience with AI training, evaluation, or human-data projects is a strong plus
- Must be able to work as an independent contractor
- H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
