Job Description
IT/AI Development Intern providing hands-on exposure to software engineering and AI technologies at MIRA Safety. Collaborate on projects related to AI-powered tools, e-commerce, and analytics dashboard development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and enhancing e-commerce platforms using Shopify Liquid, Petite Vue, TailwindCSS, and Vite.
- Support integration of AI-powered features using APIs and prompt engineering.
- Contribute to REST API development and third-party API integrations.
- Help with database tasks including CRUD operations, indexing, and authentication in PostgreSQL/Supabase.
- Participate in creating data dashboards and analytics tools.
- Test and debug features using automated testing tools.
- Follow secure coding practices and version control workflows.
Requirements:
- Student (College) status.
- Curiosity, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn.
- Experience with web & app development, specifically JavaScript (ES6+) and a modern UI framework (Vue 3/Nuxt 3 or React/Next.js).
- Familiarity with Node.js with Fastify or Express.
- Skills in Shopify Liquid theme development.
- Knowledge of REST API design and integration.
- Experience with PostgreSQL/Supabase (CRUD, indexing, auth).
- Understanding of AI API integration and prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with tools like Redis (caching, sessions) and Docker for local development.
