Job Description
Remote IT Infrastructure Engineer managing Automic workload automation, batch processing, and GoAnywhere file transfers. Supporting 24x7 operations and resolving production incidents in Karachi, Pakistan.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in a 24x7 shift or End-of-Day (EOD) support model
- Provide timely monitoring, issue resolution, and on-call support for critical business services
- Provide hands-on support and administration for Automic Workload Automation
- Monitor, manage, and ensure successful execution of batch jobs
- Identify and resolve batch job failures to maintain business continuity
- Analyze job dependencies, workflow chains, calendars, and execution schedules
- Support and troubleshoot the GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (MFT) platform
- Manage and monitor inbound and outbound file transfers
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production incidents related to scheduling, batch processing, and file transfer operations within agreed SLAs
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, and business teams to address operational issues and implement permanent fixes
- Perform root cause analysis, document findings, and recommend preventive measures
- Support change, release, and maintenance activities while ensuring operational stability and adherence to established processes and controls
Requirements:
- 10-14 years of experience
- Ability to participate in a 24x7 shift or End-of-Day (EOD) support model
- Experience with Automic Workload Automation, including job scheduling, workflow management, and batch processing
- Experience monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting batch jobs
- Knowledge of job dependencies, workflow chains, calendars, and execution schedules
- Experience with GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (MFT)
- Experience with SFTP, FTP, FTPS, and other secure file transfer protocols
- Experience investigating, diagnosing, and resolving production incidents within agreed SLAs
- Ability to coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, and business teams
- Experience performing root cause analysis and documenting findings
- Experience supporting change, release, and maintenance activities
- Ability to adhere to established processes and controls
