Job Description
IT Manager owning IT operations, endpoint security, and IAM for Nadia Care’s technology-enabled maternity-care platform. Supporting a distributed team while partnering with the CISO.
Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day IT operations, user lifecycle management, and identity and access management for a growing distributed team
- Serve as the sole technical resource and primary point of contact for IT and security matters
- Report directly to the CISO and serve as their key operational partner on access and security matters
- Provide Tier 1-3 technical support and resolve tickets within defined SLAs
- Support Windows and macOS users with hardware, operating system, application, connectivity, printing, email, software, and access issues
- Maintain documentation, common-issue records, fixes, and internal how-to guides
- Manage onboarding and offboarding, including training, account provisioning, device setup, and access control
- Conduct access reviews, assign roles and permissions, enforce least privilege, and maintain access records
- Support SSO configuration and troubleshoot SaaS application access
- Administer Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 for a remote multi-OS device fleet
- Enforce endpoint security policies covering encryption, patching, and compliance
- Deploy, monitor, and manage Microsoft Defender
- Manage device logistics, inventory, procurement recommendations, and hardware lifecycle
- Manage Google Workspace users, groups, and settings
- Maintain and troubleshoot core SaaS tools
- Partner with the CISO on access-related security requests and remediation
- Own endpoint and identity security operations
- Define and refine scalable IT processes and documentation
Requirements:
- 7+ years of IT support/operations experience, including experience as the senior or sole IT resource
- Startup experience as a one-person IT department handling infrastructure, security, device management, IAM, and end-user support simultaneously
- Strong working knowledge of endpoint protection, identity/access security, encryption, patch management, and security best practices in a remote-first environment
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, endpoint security, patch management, Microsoft Intune, and Google Workspace administration
- Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments
- Experience owning IAM/access management strategy and end-to-end onboarding/offboarding processes, ticketing systems, and work within SLAs
- Understanding of PHI and HIPAA
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical issues to non-technical staff and representing IT to leadership
- Customer service orientation and ability to remain patient, empathetic, and reassuring
- Willingness to ship, receive, and temporarily store company equipment at home
- Ability to work independently, own ambiguous problems, and manage competing priorities in a remote environment
- Must be based in the United States Eastern Time Zone
