Job Description
IT System Administrator managing cloud infrastructure, SaaS tools, and security for Hypersonix.ai’s AI-powered e-commerce platform. Supporting employees and building scalable IT processes for a remote-friendly startup.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-user IT support for laptops, hardware, software, and access issues
- Set up and maintain onboarding and offboarding processes for employee devices and accounts
- Maintain IT asset inventory, including hardware, licenses, and subscriptions
- Collaborate with platform teams on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation
- Administer and monitor cloud infrastructure
- Manage internal servers, networks, VPNs, and firewalls
- Ensure system uptime, backups, and disaster recovery processes
- Administer core business SaaS tools
- Manage user provisioning, access control, and license optimization
- Evaluate and implement new tools as the company scales
- Implement and enforce IT security policies
- Support compliance efforts
- Monitor security vulnerabilities and coordinate patching and updates
- Create and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
- Continuously improve IT processes for a scaling, remote-friendly team
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps on shared infrastructure needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7–9 years of experience in system administration, preferably at a startup or SaaS company
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
- Experience administering AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration
- Familiarity with DNS, VPNs, and firewalls
- Understanding of IT security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills for supporting technical and non-technical teammates
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including occasional weekends and nights, to support business hours across regions and on-call needs
