Job Description
Junior DevOps Engineer supporting GCP infrastructure and CI/CD automation for global cloud contact center software. Maintaining Kubernetes deployments, observability, and reliable customer-facing services.
Responsibilities:
- Support the management and maintenance of Google Cloud Platform infrastructure
- Assist in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud services
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Work with Kubernetes, Argo CD, Argo Workflows, and Helm for deployment automation and orchestration
- Write and maintain automation scripts
- Monitor system health using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK observability tools
- Collaborate with senior DevOps engineers to troubleshoot issues and implement best practices
- Communicate with team members across India and Portugal
- Work primarily in India Standard Time with overlap for coordination with the Portugal-based team
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering
- Internship or project-based experience also considered
- Hands-on exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including compute, networking, and IAM
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes, Argo CD, Helm, and container orchestration
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and GitLab pipelines
- Knowledge of Linux fundamentals and system administration
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams across time zones
- Flexibility to work in India hours with some overlap with the Portugal-based team
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment
- Exposure to other deployment automation tools is an advantage
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
