Job Description
Junior Water Resources Engineer at EHS Support engaging in stormwater modeling and design. Collaborating with teams on environmental, health, and safety challenges across various industries.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and analysis of hydrologic, hydraulic, and hydrodynamic models.
- Research and analyze environmental information, including stream gage, weather, and oceanographic data, to support model development and decision-making.
- Conduct field investigations and data collection for water resource projects.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering plans, and presentations.
- Support the design and implementation of stormwater management systems, remedial designs, and other engineering projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in water resources engineering or a related discipline
- Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling methods and software (e.g., TR-55, HEC-RAS, SWMM)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Experience with AutoCAD or other design software (preferred).
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal water resource regulations (preferred).
- Previous employment, internship, or co-op experience in water resources or environmental consulting (preferred).
