Job Description
Lead Field Service Engineer in GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage business. Providing technical support for installation and troubleshooting at customer sites, ensuring project success.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation and commissioning on drive systems at customer site locations during ship construction
- Perform troubleshooting activities at site locations during scheduled Port visits or at sea to diagnose problems and implement corrective actions
- Develop documentation to execute work such as commissioning and maintenance procedures
- Execute on site project management and technical leader duties
- Identify sales opportunities for service agreements, spare parts, training, and upgrades
- Provide on call support in response to customer calls for service
- Complete timely service reports and other administrative requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- OR Associate's Degree or related discipline with a minimum 5 additional years of related industry experience
- OR School diploma or GED equivalency with a minimum of 8 years of related industry experience
- Ability and willingness to travel 85% of the time on short notice
- Must be physically fit to be able to board vessels offshore
- Previous Marine Industry Experience
- Must be able to pass Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) and offshore survival course
- US Person with the ability to achieve security clearance for Department of Defense projects
- Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office applications
