Job Description
Lead MES Consultant & Solution Engineer at Vimachem, focusing on pharmaceutical manufacturing technology solutions. Collaborate with teams for customer implementations and enterprise sales engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead MES consultant on customer projects, guiding implementations from process analysis through configuration, testing, deployment, go-live, and hypercare
- Design and configure digital manufacturing workflows using Vimachem’s no-code / low-code MES tools
- Collaborate with QA, production, and IT stakeholders to ensure MES implementations align with GMP and operational requirements
- Work closely with the sales team as a solution engineer, supporting enterprise opportunities with demonstrations, technical discussions, and solution validation
- Deliver technical demonstrations and workshops for prospects and customers
- Contribute to RFx responses, technical assessments, and security questionnaires during enterprise sales processes
- Support the scoping and estimation of MES implementation projects delivered by the Vimachem Professional Services team
- Coordinate with EU consulting teams to ensure alignment with delivery standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot system behavior and support customers during deployments and hypercare
- Provide customer insights and product feedback to product and engineering teams to improve the platform
- Contribute to internal best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environments or consulting with pharmaceutical manufacturing clients
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with MES platforms such as Werum PAS-X, Emerson Syncade, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell PharmaSuite, Tulip, or similar systems
- Strong understanding of GMP workflows, batch manufacturing processes, and electronic batch records (EBR)
- Experience implementing or working with manufacturing digital systems such as MES, OEE, shopfloor data systems, or digital batch records
- Experience delivering technical demonstrations, workshops, or training for MES platforms
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical, operational, and executive stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related STEM discipline
- Experience supporting pre-sales or solution consulting activities is a strong plus
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer engagements.
