Job Description
Mechanical Integration Engineer defining factory level mechanical and thermal solutions for Jabil manufacturing facilities. Leading early phase factory design and ensuring operational excellence at hyperscale data centers.
Responsibilities:
- Define factory level mechanical and thermal solutions that enable the setup, expansion, and optimization of greenfield and brownfield Jabil owned manufacturing facilities
- Lead early phase factory design by scoping, specifying, and integrating mechanical and cooling systems
- Design and integrate air cooled and water cooled chiller plants, dry coolers, heat rejection systems, and associated hydronic distribution networks
- Partner with electrical, controls, and operations teams to ensure cooling systems meet availability, resilience, and operational excellence targets
- Act as a subject matter expert for single phase and two phase liquid cooling technologies used in hyperscale data centers
- Ensure seamless thermal and mechanical integration between facility cooling plants and high density IT liquid cooling loops
- Review and approve mechanical designs, CAD models, and technical data packages for compliance with system level requirements
- Own component selection for piping, valves, fittings, pumps, heat exchangers, and cooling equipment based on fluid type, pressure, temperature, corrosion resistance, and lifecycle cost
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field is required
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical system integration
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to Data Center Infrastructure is preferred
- Proven track record of successful system designs and implementations in a relevant industry
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, integration strategy, and system coordination
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Alternatively, a suitable combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered
