Job Description

Lead Product Manager owning Yelp's advertising formats across search results and AI-powered chat. Driving ad strategy, experimentation, UX improvements, and monetization performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for ad formats and placements across Yelp's core surfaces
  • Define and test new ad formats and layouts, including adaptation by business type, context, and user intent
  • Drive advertising integration into Yelp Assistant, Yelp's AI-powered chat interface
  • Enhance the UX and design of ad units to improve relevance, performance, and the consumer experience
  • Partner with Data Science to design experiments, set success metrics, and interpret results
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Search Product, and Ads teams to ship changes on Yelp's highest-traffic surfaces
  • Work with Ads Auction and Ranking to understand interactions between format decisions, targeting, and delivery systems

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Product Manager in advertising, monetization, or search
  • Deep understanding of how ad formats, placements, and ad systems work together
  • Experience growing revenue and translating consumer and business needs into concrete features
  • Ability to break down complex, unstructured problems into features from conception to launch
  • Ability to synthesize and translate between technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience solving technically complex advertising and product problems
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, functions, and product surfaces
  • Experience improving ad system reliability and monitoring metrics
