Job Description
Lead Software Engineer developing scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI at Side, a global games services company. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and optimizing APIs for performance and security.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using **Python**.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs using the **FastAPI framework**.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Develop and manage database schemas, queries, and integrations using **MongoDB**.
- Implement secure, reliable, and efficient microservices architectures.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on **AWS services** such as EC2, S3, and ElastiCache.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage version control using **Git**.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Ensure adherence to security and data protection standards.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in **Python backend development**.
- Strong experience with **FastAPI** or similar frameworks (Flask/Django).
- Solid understanding of **REST API design principles** and best practices.
- Experience working with **MongoDB** or other NoSQL databases.
- Good understanding of **data structures and algorithms**.
- Experience with **Docker** and containerized application development.
- Familiarity with **Git** and version control workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
