Job Description
Loan Modification Coordinator overseeing Guild Mortgage’s end-to-end mortgage modification and payoff processes. Coordinating cross-functional teams, compliance, documentation, and workflow improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily execution of the loan modification process from initial review through completion
- Ensure loan files progress through Encompass milestones according to workflow rules and timelines
- Review and resolve stalled, delayed, or exception-driven modification files
- Provide guidance and escalation support to loan modification processors, underwriters, and support staff
- Coordinate loan modification activities across Servicing, Legal, Underwriting, Construction/Repair, Closing, and Post-Closing teams
- Communicate modification terms, approvals, documentation requirements, and execution status
- Coordinate execution and receipt of final modification agreements and update systems
- Analyze workflow inefficiencies and recommend operational, staffing, or system improvements
- Develop and maintain process documentation, job aids, and training materials
- Support change management for system upgrades, policy updates, and investor changes
- Ensure compliance with investor guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Support audits, regulatory examinations, and investor reviews
- Identify process, system, or control gaps and implement corrective actions
- Handle inquiries from borrowers, builders, loan officers, and other transaction parties
- Safeguard confidential, proprietary, consumer, and other protected information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, preferred
- Minimum five years' experience in a variety of different roles is required
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and financial figures
- Ability to interpret bar graphs and apply basic algebra and geometry
- Knowledge of probability, statistical inference, plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry fundamentals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required
- Ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely workflow decisions
- Must comply with applicable investor guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Must safeguard confidential and proprietary information
- Travel of 5% or less may be required
