Job Description
Financial risk management consulting Manager overseeing SAS, ETL, and data warehouse projects. Leading client teams and coordinating delivery, budgets, regulatory requirements, and IT strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the executive team throughout consulting assignments for financial risk management clients
- Manage a small team of employees and client resources on customer engagements
- Identify, plan, coordinate, and verify deliverables, assigning team members to deliverables
- Ensure project data and information are managed within budget and time constraints
- Collaborate with business unit and IT sponsors to establish project goals, success criteria, and risk assessments
- Manage approved funding with business sponsors and IT
- Coordinate with architecture teams to align solutions with IT strategy and data governance
- Organize successful project delivery across IT teams
- Create and manage realistic project plans with buy-in from resources and business sponsors
- Deliver stakeholder status reports and facilitate communication among stakeholders and teams
- Manage projects involving data warehouse, ETL, and reporting systems
- Work with support teams during transition and warranty periods
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, or a closely related field
- Three (3) years of work experience in a financial risk consultant role or closely related occupation
- Demonstrated ability applying mathematical concepts using SAS software in a financial services setting, gained through three (3) years of work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial regulatory standards including IFRS 9, IFRS 17, and CECL, as well as related accounting practices, gained through three (3) years of work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAS reporting and management modules, gained through three (3) years of work experience
- All years of experience may be gained concurrently
