Job Description
Organizational Development Manager partnering with The Home Depot leaders and HR teams. Designing organization, change management, and adoption solutions aligned with business strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders and HR teams to design and implement organizational development solutions aligned with business strategy
- Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify gaps between current and desired organizational states
- Support organization design initiatives, including team alignment, discovery, stakeholder feedback, and future-state organization design
- Lead workstreams on large-scale organizational design initiatives and independently lead small- to mid-scale OD projects
- Support benchmarking efforts and recommend organizational improvements
- Draft organizational structures/charts, operating and governance models, and process maps
- Build relationships with business leaders and HR Business Partners
- Develop best-fit approaches aligning business strategies with organizational structure, leadership, and culture
- Identify organizational development solutions across structure, process, systems, and people
- Design and facilitate workshops and key alignment and planning events
- Conduct change impact assessments and create communication plans and materials
- Coordinate with learning, communications, compensation, and talent acquisition partner teams
- Support adoption of new structures and ways of working through change integration, workshops, and learning coordination
- Track post-implementation success metrics, facilitate reviews and benchmarking, and recommend adjustments to optimize adoption
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a related field required
- Minimum 5 years of work experience
- Experience gathering and synthesizing data to support informed decision-making
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills (e.g., PROSCI or similar)
- Proven experience in change initiatives in complex, matrixed environments
- Prior experience in internal consulting or HR strategy roles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Working knowledge of presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to review qualitative and quantitative data to identify key themes
- Ability to interact effectively with and influence executive leaders
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to initiate project plans with minimum guidance
- Discretion when handling confidential information
