Job Description
MDM Developer implementing master data governance, quality rules, and stewardship processes. Supporting BAE Systems’ defense, aerospace, security, and information technology operations.
Responsibilities:
- Execute Master Data-related projects and initiatives
- Execute processes and maintain Master and Reference Data Management elements to ensure accurate data creation, transformation, and retention
- Inform Master Data policy, standards, and procedures
- Work with enterprise stakeholders to construct processes and define rules for data validity and consistency across systems of record
- Collaborate and coordinate with Data Governance Working Groups to apply governance specifications to Master Data
- Support Data Owners and Stewards with strategic prioritization of MDM initiatives supporting business objectives
- Implement, maintain, and evolve Data Governance and Stewardship Processes associated with the MDM ecosystem
- Audit and validate Master Data definitions
- Lead or participate in defining business requirements supporting system configuration changes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6+ years of career experience, including at least 3 years of relevant experience in Data Governance/MDM
- Experience implementing, maintaining, and evolving Data Governance and Stewardship Processes associated with the MDM ecosystem
- Experience auditing and validating Master Data definitions
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology
- Experience with Master Data Management tools such as Informatica, Profisee, or Semarchy
- Experience defining business requirements to support system configuration changes
- Strong analytics skill set and high proficiency in data profiling and modeling
- Knowledge of data methodologies such as REST, SOAP, Python, and SQL
- Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships
