Job Description
Member of Technical Staff maintaining GitLab and Engineering applications at Wind River, a mission-critical software systems company. Supporting global infrastructure, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and internal engineering users.
Responsibilities:
- Support and expand GitLab and other Engineering applications, including Confluence and CodeCollaborator
- Work with internal customers on application issues
- Participate in global infrastructure and development projects
- Provide guidance on technical issues and processes to junior team members
- Perform code and design reviews
- Support the Engineering team in the U.S. during required working hours
Requirements:
- BE / MTech degree (Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent technical degree)
- Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience
- 5+ years supporting and expanding GitLab, including Agile Planning, pipelines, CI/CD, administration of users and groups/projects, and familiarity with APIs
- 3–5 years in front-line application support and customer interaction
- 3–5 years Linux user experience; system administration experience is a plus
- 5 years Jenkins administration experience
- 5 years Kubernetes development experience
- Programming and scripting experience using Python, Shell, REST API services, etc.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki
- Understanding of MySQL and PostgreSQL is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Self-managed and fast learner
- Good verbal and written communication skills and good listening skills
- Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative situations
- Ability to work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time, corresponding to India night shift
