Job Description
Mexican Spanish voice actor recording and editing transcripts for Mercor’s AI-lab projects. Producing professional audio to improve frontier AI systems’ audio capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with a leading AI lab to improve its AI model’s ability to handle and produce audio data
- Record or edit transcripts exactly as written, preserving natural pacing where appropriate
- Produce professional-quality audio using an appropriate recording setup
- Complete approximately 2–10 hours of work per week
- Participate in a short-term project lasting roughly 1–2 weeks from the start date
- Collaborate with leading researchers on projects training and enhancing AI systems
Requirements:
- You must be born and raised in Mexico
- Proficient English speaker
- Ability to talk in a “customer service” voice with a neutral to upbeat tone, clear enunciation, and consistent pacing
- Attention to detail on punctuation, commas, and dashes
- Ability to record transcripts exactly as written or edit them to reflect natural pacing
- Professional audio recording setup, including a home studio with a professional-grade mic, soundproofing, audio interface, pop filter, and editing software for post-production
- Able to commit between 2–10 hours per week for the duration of the project
- Professional voice acting experience is greatly preferred but not required
- Speaking and audio experience through music, television, podcasts, Twitch streaming, comedy, YouTube, radio, or related fields welcomed
- Unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time
- Must work as an independent contractor
