Job Description
French voice actor recording neutral, expressive speech for Mercor’s AI voice-cloning projects. Producing samples for a client’s internal CX AI Agent and TTS model development.
Responsibilities:
- Record high-quality voice samples across conversational, narrative, instructional, and other diverse scripts
- Deliver clear, natural, and expressive speech with control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation
- Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across recording sessions
- Follow detailed recording guidelines for environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
- Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style
- Contribute voice recordings for training and evaluating next-generation text-to-speech systems
- Voice recordings will be used exclusively for the client's internal CX AI Agent and may be cloned for that use
- Work on an ongoing rolling-basis opening, with the engagement itself consisting of a recording session of approximately 4 hours
Requirements:
- Native or native-level French speaker with a standard, neutral, accent-free French accent
- No strong regional accent or foreign-language influence
- Clear, natural, and expressive voice
- Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup, including quality microphone, quiet environment, and pop filter
- Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range
- Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural delivery
- Availability for a single approximately 4-hour recording session, with possible additional session
- Must be comfortable with voice cloning for the client's CX AI Agent
- Preferred: Experience recording for TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets
- Preferred: Familiarity with Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper
- Preferred: Ability to deliver multiple vocal styles
- Independent contractor engagement
- H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
