Job Description
Latin American Spanish voice actor recording expressive samples for Mercor’s AI research partners. Producing voice data for a client’s internal CX AI Agent and potential voice cloning.
Responsibilities:
- Record high-quality voice samples across conversational, narrative, instructional, and other scripts
- Deliver clear, natural, expressive speech with control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation
- Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across recording sessions
- Follow detailed recording guidelines covering environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
- Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style
- Contribute recordings to training and evaluation of next-generation text-to-speech systems
- Recordings used exclusively for the client's internal CX AI Agent and not sold, licensed, or reused for other purposes
Requirements:
- Native Latin American Spanish speaker currently based in Latin America
- Ability to speak neutral, internationally intelligible Spanish without a strong regional accent
- Clear, natural, and expressive voice
- Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup, including quality microphone, quiet environment, and pop filter
- Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range
- Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural delivery
- Availability for a single approximately 4-hour recording session, with possible further session
- Comfortable with voice cloning for the client's CX AI Agent
- Independent contractor engagement
- Preferred: experience recording for TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets
- Preferred: familiarity with audio editing tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper
- Preferred: ability to deliver multiple vocal styles
- H1-B or STEM OPT candidates are not supported
