Job Description
Latin American Spanish voice actor recording expressive speech samples for Mercor’s internal CX AI Agent. Supporting next-generation text-to-speech model training and evaluation through voice cloning.
Responsibilities:
- Record high-quality voice samples across conversational, narrative, instructional, and other diverse scripts
- Deliver clear, natural, and expressive speech with control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation
- Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across recording sessions
- Follow detailed recording guidelines covering environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
- Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style when required
- Contribute recordings to training and evaluation of next-generation text-to-speech systems
- Voice recordings will be used exclusively for the client's internal CX AI Agent and may be cloned for that use case
Requirements:
- Native Latin American Spanish speaker currently based in Latin America
- Ability to speak neutral, internationally intelligible Spanish without a strong regional accent
- Clear, natural, and expressive voice
- Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup, including a quality microphone, quiet environment, and pop filter
- Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range
- Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural delivery
- Availability for a single approximately 4-hour recording session, with the possibility of a further session of similar length
- Must be comfortable with voice cloning for the client's CX AI Agent
- Independent contractor status
- Unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates
- Prior voice-acting, narration, or broadcast experience is a plus but not required
- Experience recording for TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets is preferred
- Familiarity with Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper is preferred
- Ability to deliver multiple vocal styles is preferred
