Job Description
French voice actor recording neutral, expressive speech for Mercor’s AI voice-cloning projects. Producing high-quality samples for an internal CX AI Agent.
Responsibilities:
- Record high-quality voice samples across conversational, narrative, instructional, and other diverse scripts
- Deliver clear, natural, expressive speech with control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation
- Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across recording sessions
- Follow detailed recording guidelines for environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
- Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style when required
- Provide voice recordings exclusively for the client's internal CX AI Agent
- Participate in an approximately 4-hour recording session, with a possible additional session
- Work on projects training and enhancing AI systems
Requirements:
- Native or native-level French speaker
- Standard, neutral, accent-free French delivery; no strong regional accent or foreign-language influence
- Clear, natural, and expressive voice
- Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup, including quality microphone, quiet environment, and pop filter
- Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range
- Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural delivery
- Availability for a single approximately 4-hour recording session, with a possible additional session of similar length
- Must be comfortable with voice cloning for the client's CX AI Agent
- Location does not matter; qualified speakers may apply from anywhere
- Independent contractor engagement
- Unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates
- Preferred: experience recording for TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets
- Preferred: familiarity with Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper
- Preferred: ability to deliver multiple vocal styles
