Job Description
Music production expert evaluating AI-generated music for Mercor and a leading AI lab. Rating musical quality, labeling characteristics, and reviewing Russian lyrics and vocals.
Responsibilities:
- Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
- Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics
- Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy
- Evaluate generative music AI models in partnership with a leading AI lab
- Complete the Bilingual Competency Interview in Russian and follow application/onboarding steps
- Work on projects focused on training and enhancing AI systems
Requirements:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Russian
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English
- 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer
- Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening
- Independent contractor engagement
- Must not require H1-B or STEM OPT support
- Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition is nice to have
- Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work is nice to have
- Broad familiarity with contemporary Russian genres, sub-genres, and artists is nice to have
