Job Description
Network Engineer responsible for network design and operation at Hyatt hotels. Collaborating with teams to ensure high performance and security across data centers.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the design, operation, and continuous improvement of our Back-of-house networks in our Managed properties, contact centers and corporate offices, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across our data center environments.
- Design, implement and support new and existing services for customers and business partners.
- Improve performance and availability of existing networks and services.
- Research, track, document, publish, maintain and deliver on network policies and procedures.
- Work with management to improve process, procedures and reduce inefficiencies.
- Out of the box thinking – text book solutions are not always the best answer.
- Mentor, train and assist team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of experience with switches, firewalls (Cisco ASA/FTD/Fortinet) and security concepts.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki or similar cloud-managed networking platforms
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar) is a plus.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Experience in hybrid cloud networking environments
