Job Description
Nurse Consultant advising Desjardins on life and health insurance claims and disability management. Reviewing medical plans, coordinating diagnoses, and negotiating return-to-work terms.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes
- Develop and help implement objectives, solutions and action plans
- Recommend changes to disability management strategies and processes
- Review files to verify medical and rehabilitation action plans
- Recommend measures to help insureds recover and return to work
- Coordinate the timely obtainment of diagnoses and medical opinions to verify treatment plans
- Analyze data, conduct studies, make recommendations and write reports
- Handle cases requiring specialized intervention and develop strategies for them
- Negotiate return-to-work terms with clients and practitioners, including attending physicians
- Advise and assist clients and partners as part of intervention and development initiatives
- Prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on organizational objectives and priorities
- Help solve complex problems using analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the line of business
- Coordinate and interact with stakeholders working in other fields
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and/or clients
