Job Description
Operations Manager leading face-to-face, digital, and hybrid events for Maritz, which designs experiences, incentives, and recognition programs. Overseeing teams, budgets, accounting, compliance, and client operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide centralized leadership for coordination and execution of face-to-face, digital, and hybrid events/programs
- Lead, mentor, and coach Event Management team members across markets and event types
- Conduct performance management, development conversations, and goal setting
- Coordinate regular team meetings, communications, onboarding support, and training initiatives
- Oversee labor management, time tracking, T&E reporting, and invoicing approvals
- Support assigned target accounts through project oversight, relationship management, and financial and compliance management
- Ensure adherence to workflows, client SOPs, and best practices across accounts
- Review and audit team transactions
- Deliver monthly and quarterly SLA, finance, compliance, and event management reporting
- Support new initiatives, process improvements, and continuous improvement efforts
- Manage customer experience while balancing customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and organizational cost
- Maximize contribution margin through effective event management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of experience in meetings, events, and/or incentive travel (pre- and/or post-sale)
- 1–2 years of experience in compliance and/or accounting-related functions
- 1–2 years of proven supervisory or people leadership experience preferred
- Experience managing budgets and financial oversight for programs or accounts
- Strong organizational, communication, and motivational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization, including clients and external partners
- Global travel or hospitality industry experience
- Understanding of experience design and the ability to articulate event outcomes tied to business objectives
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CMP, CIS, CITP, HMCC, or DES
- Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.; sponsorship will not be provided
