Job Description
OSP Inspector verifying underground, buried, and aerial telecom infrastructure for Pearce’s asset-management services. Conducting NESC inspections, documenting findings, and coordinating corrective actions with contractors and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities comply with current standards through field inspections and contractor-work verification
- Perform audits, inspections, and pole transfers
- Document findings electronically and manually when needed using printed spreadsheets
- Use mapping/GPS technology to locate and verify plant infrastructure
- Communicate with client and vendor management via email and cellular phone
- Interface with construction crews, vendors, and client stakeholders
- Travel to field sites as needed, including some overnight stays
- Maintain records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions
- Support safe and efficient construction, network reliability, service excellence, and timely project completion
Requirements:
- Previous experience performing NESC inspections or working on an aerial cable line crew
- Experience conducting wooden pole ground line inspections
- Proficiency in OSP Construction Standards
- Working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC)
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products
- Familiarity with Microsoft MapPoint (preferred, not required)
- Comfort with internet use and web-based applications
- Experience managing construction contractors in the field
- Valid driver’s license
- Flexibility to travel on short notice
- Candidates must reside within one hour of Port St. Lucie, Florida or the surrounding area
