Job Description
Part-time Speech-Language Pathologist providing virtual therapy to K-12 students in Pearson’s Connections Academy schools. Managing evaluations, IEP support, documentation, and compliance remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality speech-language services to assigned K-12 students enrolled in Connections Academy virtual public schools
- Plan and implement individual and group therapy in a virtual environment
- Apply assigned school and state-specific policies and procedures for LiveSpeech services
- Maintain positive working relationships with the LiveSpeech team, schools, and programs served
- Review and analyze reports to maintain compliance
- Communicate with leadership and school staff
- Document therapeutic interventions accurately and timely
- Conduct screenings and formal and informal evaluations of students' communication needs
- Communicate with parents/learning coaches and special education staff to support IEP goals
- Consult with teachers and coordinate specially designed instruction defined in IEPs
- Assist with IEP paperwork, documentation, and procedures
- Maintain accurate data in the Education Management System and special education software
- Adhere to data protection and security laws and company policies
- Obtain and maintain required licenses and clearances
- Complete required professional development, training, and CEU courses
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- MA or MS in Speech Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
- Active/valid state and/or Department of Education Speech Pathology licensure in state of residence
- Ability to obtain and maintain multiple required state certifications and clearances
- 2+ years of experience in a K-12 school setting
- Strong technology skills
- High degree of flexibility and ability to work independently
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to use a personal electronic device and email address for two-step authentication
- Must provide a computer, second monitor, mouse, and keyboard when working from home
- Must adhere to home-office privacy, technology, and equipment standards
