Job Description
Patient Experience Associate supporting US Radiology’s radiology revenue cycle operations. Handling patient and insurer calls, payments, account disputes, eligibility checks, and medical claims.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and/or forward incoming phone calls from patients and insurance representatives in a timely manner
- Provide quality customer service phone support
- Provide accurate information regarding patient and insurance account status
- Resolve account questions and disputes
- Process payments
- Follow up on accounts in a timely manner
- Work online payer systems to check claim status and eligibility
- Work correspondence and returned mail to process patient and insurance requests
- Manage Customer Service ticklers and escalated accounts
- Maintain productivity goals and meet deadlines set by the AR Supervisor
- Handle escalated calls professionally
- Complete other AR projects and assigned duties
Requirements:
- Telephone customer service experience
- Familiarity with multiple phone lines and ability to manage high call volumes
- Computer literacy and ability to work between multiple computer systems
- Excellent verbal and written customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- High school diploma or equivalent education/experience
- Call center experience preferred or desired
- Prior medical billing and/or medical terminology experience preferred or desired
- Basic understanding of how insurance processes medical claims preferred or desired
- Ability to sit approximately 90 percent of the day
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, multi-line telephone, computer, fax, copiers, and printers
