Job Description

Registered Nurse coordinating scheduling, triage, lab follow-up, and provider collaboration for Teladoc Health’s virtual care services across Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee scheduling of virtual appointments according to provider availability and patient preferences
  • Triage and prioritize patients based on urgency and appropriate level of care
  • Prioritize patients between sites using clinical judgment
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize virtual care schedules and appointment utilization
  • Communicate patient-specific information and instructions to providers before booked virtual appointments
  • Oversee accurate and up-to-date medical records, appointment details, and visit outcomes
  • Generate and share virtual care reports with relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate follow-up of lab results
  • Communicate patient results according to relevant processes
  • Follow processes for communicating critical lab results
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care between virtual and in-person services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent work experience
  • Current practicing registration and good standing as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Competence in CTAS in a fast-paced environment
  • Adherence to the Emergency Nursing Scope and Standards of Canadian Practice
  • Healthcare coordination, scheduling, and administration experience
  • Current CTAS certification with 5+ years’ experience
  • Previous virtual work experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Previous exposure to telemedicine or virtual care services
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Telephone Triage Nursing Certification preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication, written, verbal, and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with virtual care platforms and basic technical troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records and documentation
  • Understanding of healthcare compliance and patient privacy regulations
  • Full flexibility for availability Monday to Sunday, including day, evening, night, and weekend shifts
  • Multiple provincial nursing licenses are an asset
