Job Description

Patient Services Representative serving as the first point of contact for patients at Sutter Health. Responsible for patient check-in, information verification, and scheduling appointments.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the first point of contact for patients
  • Greets and checks-in patients
  • Verifies information and schedules appointments
  • Updates Electronic Health records (EHR)
  • Facilitates intake procedures including completion of healthcare and insurance forms
  • Collects payments for services
  • Gains confidence and cooperation from patients and healthcare providers

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills
  • General knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
