Job Description
Patient Services Representative serving as the first point of contact for patients at Sutter Health. Responsible for patient check-in, information verification, and scheduling appointments.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as the first point of contact for patients
- Greets and checks-in patients
- Verifies information and schedules appointments
- Updates Electronic Health records (EHR)
- Facilitates intake procedures including completion of healthcare and insurance forms
- Collects payments for services
- Gains confidence and cooperation from patients and healthcare providers
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
- 1 year of recent relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures
- Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- General knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
