Job Description

People Operations Manager building HR infrastructure for Tilt, a fintech expanding access to fair credit. Managing HRIS data, global mobility, employee relations, policies, and AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and help implement AI data connectors and automations for People Operations workflows
  • Develop and deliver manager and employee self-service guides and resources
  • Own employee-data accuracy, structure, and integrity across the HRIS
  • Establish data-governance standards and run recurring HRIS audits
  • Partner with People Ops, IT, Finance, vendors, and People leadership to close data gaps and create actionable workforce metrics
  • Support international travel and visa preparation for the US and abroad
  • Track work authorization across operating countries
  • Manage relocations, cross-border moves, and global-mobility logistics
  • Partner with Legal and outside immigration counsel on documentation, renewals, expirations, and compliance risks
  • Partner with managers on performance plans and difficult conversations
  • Support employee-relations issues and workplace investigations
  • Develop, maintain, and interpret company-wide policies and handbooks
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions, resolving routine inquiries and escalating complex issues

Requirements:

  • 6+ years in People Operations, HR Business Partner, or Employee Relations roles
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS such as Rippling, Workday, HiBob, or similar
  • Experience with HRIS data audits, governance, and system administration
  • Experience evaluating or implementing AI tools, automations, or data connectors within an HR/People tech stack
  • Solid working knowledge of U.S. employment law
  • Global or multinational exposure is a plus
  • Excellent critical thinking, judgment, discretion, and communication skills, especially in sensitive and confidential conversations
  • Ability to approach issues with empathy and rigor
  • Ability to escalate potential company or employee risks promptly
  • Curiosity about AI tools and ability to distinguish genuine efficiency gains from hype
