Job Description

Pharmaceutical Sourcing Agent negotiating supplier contracts for Ascension, a nonprofit Catholic health system. Developing healthcare supply-chain strategies that improve value, continuity, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate contract pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to mitigate risk and achieve competitive total cost, quality, and supply continuity.
  • Develop sourcing strategies by analyzing sourcing data, market trends, and benchmarking best practices.
  • Ensure sourcing strategies and supply chain processes comply with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Support risk mitigation through contractual reviews.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with Legal, Finance, Corporate Risk, internal teams, and end-user stakeholders.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including amendments, extensions, and product additions or deletions.
  • Provide leadership and stakeholder updates on category strategies, supplier relationship management, performance metrics, process improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or an Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 0–3 years of professional experience or previous internship experience preferred
  • Pharmacy sourcing experience preferred
