Job Description
Physician operations manager supporting physician engagement, onboarding, and clinical innovation. Improving healthcare operations and patient care outcomes at SimonMed imaging.
Responsibilities:
- Execute strategic and operational initiatives supporting physician operations and clinical innovation
- Serve as the trusted advisor and primary administrative partner to the physician organization
- Foster physician relationships, facilitate engagement, and represent and address physician needs and concerns
- Manage and coordinate physician administration activities and administrative operations related to physician support, clinical governance, compliance, and quality programs
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects involving physicians, operational leaders, technology teams, and administrative staff
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and performance outcomes
- Partner with physicians and operational leaders to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency across the physician organization
- Support physician engagement, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning initiatives
- Drive adoption of new tools, workflows, and processes and provide progress updates and outcome reporting to executive leadership
- Support development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical policies, procedures, and standard operating practices
- Coordinate innovation initiatives, pilot programs, and process improvements to enhance clinical operations and patient care outcomes
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members
- Deliver timely, constructive feedback and address performance issues
- Assess staffing requirements and partner with HR to recruit, hire, and onboard employees
- Cultivate a positive, collaborative, patient-first workplace culture
- Make strategic decisions aligned with organizational policies and objectives
- Direct operational, budgetary, and financial activities within the area of responsibility
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required
- 5-7 years of healthcare administration, physician operations, project management, or clinical operations experience
- Experience supporting physician leadership and cross-functional healthcare initiatives preferred
- Experience in imaging, radiology, or other clinical healthcare environments preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to build effective partnerships across clinical and operational teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience interpreting operational and performance data
- Familiarity with PACS, RIS, EMR, and healthcare information systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management systems
