Job Description

Power Platform Engineer designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform for the US Military Academy - West Point.

Responsibilities:

  • Design & Develop Power Platform Solutions: Create custom business applications using Power Apps and develop automation workflows using Power Automate.
  • Integration with Microsoft Ecosystem: Integrate Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft services.
  • End-to-End Solution Delivery: Lead all phases of the solution lifecycle.
  • Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes and translate requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Provide acceptance criteria and conduct thorough unit testing.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Technical Leadership & Innovation: Serve as the Power Platform Subject Matter Expert.
  • Support & Maintenance: Provide ongoing support for deployed Power Platform solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. (Equivalent professional experience may be considered.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse).
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystem
  • Experience and expertise with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL)
  • Experience with data and document migration and integration with external data sources.
  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+ (Security Plus) certification (or higher) is required.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
