Job Description
Chartered Accountant driving procurement financial performance, cost control, and sourcing analytics at Holcim, a global sustainable building materials company. Remote in Chennai.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and evaluate monthly category-wise spend and financial performance reports
- Perform deep-dive variance commentary to identify drivers behind spend trends, inflation, and cost movements
- Partner with the Head of Procurement and Head of Operational Excellence on strategic financial presentations and performance updates for the Group Exco
- Deliver accurate and strategically clear executive reports on time
- Collaborate with Global Category Managers on price benchmarking, Purchase Price Variance (PPV), Price-over-Cost analysis, and Best Cost Country (BCC) sourcing models
- Provide actionable financial intelligence on key suppliers for contract negotiations
- Oversee global procurement policies and ensure communication, implementation, and compliance across global business units
- Implement, maintain, and enforce financial controls across the procurement cycle
- Partner with the Procurement Digital/Tools team on spend visibility, automated reporting, and platform implementations
Requirements:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Controlling, Management Reporting, Cost Accounting or Spend Analytics
- Prior exposure to supply chain, procurement controlling or strategic sourcing preferred
- Strong, hands-on expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience using Google Workspace tools
- Experience with visualization platforms such as QlikSense
- Strong time-management skills and ability to meet tight deliverables and project deadlines under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across global, cross-functional teams
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude, continuous growth mindset, and eagerness to learn and adapt
