Job Description

Product Manager responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle for aircraft leasing software at Portside, Inc, a leading aviation SaaS provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Product End-to-End
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Leaseworks product, data model, and workflows
  • Act as the primary product owner for a complex, domain-heavy enterprise application
  • Own backlog prioritization, scope definition, and release planning
  • Lead customer discovery and requirements discussions with aircraft lessors
  • Understand real-world leasing, billing, and invoicing workflows (including edge cases)
  • Translate customer needs into clear, structured, engineer-ready specifications
  • Balance customer requests with platform constraints and long-term product integrity
  • Write detailed product requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Break features into well-defined engineering tasks across data model, logic, UI, and integrations
  • Make informed tradeoffs between Salesforce configuration vs custom code
  • Ensure solutions respect Salesforce platform constraints (governor limits, security, packaging, upgradeability)
  • Own correctness and auditability of financial workflows (e.g., invoices, calculations, reporting)
  • Anticipate downstream impacts to reporting, billing, and customer operations
  • Help maintain a stable, scalable product in a highly customized enterprise environment.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or solution architecture for enterprise software
  • Strong hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform, including: Objects and data modeling, Flows and automation, Security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing), Managed packages / enterprise deployments
  • Experience building or managing financial, billing, or contract-driven systems
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers
  • Comfort with financial concepts such as invoicing, proration, schedules, and multi-currency
  • Strong systems thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to reason about complex workflows and data dependencies
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of a product area
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Credibility with engineers and comfort pushing back when requirements conflict with platform or data integrity.
  • Nice to Have (Not Required): Experience in aircraft leasing, equipment leasing, or asset finance; Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform App Builder, or similar); Background as a Salesforce consultant or solution architect.
