Job Description
Product Manager overseeing Workday Security products at The Home Depot. Translating stakeholder needs into agile strategies, user stories, and enterprise software improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Understand customer and associate needs to help deliver enterprise products that improve the shopping experience
- Translate business goals and end-user needs into product strategy and communicate product direction and priorities
- Identify goals, metrics, and analytics to determine product value and refine the product backlog
- Conduct end-user research to identify user stories and determine the Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
- Partner with Finance on financial needs and business plans for new opportunities
- Monitor research, competitive landscapes, industry innovations, and technology platforms to recommend solutions
- Align products with company, stakeholder, and end-user priorities to drive sales, improve efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction
- Ensure quality and change-control standards are met
- Formulate, test, and refine assumptions and hypotheses through user research and testing
- Create, prioritize, and accept user stories and incorporate them into release planning
- Make daily product decisions that drive value
- Identify feature and enhancement pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies, and value
- Participate in standups, iteration planning, product demos, and retrospectives
- Translate complex technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders
- Foster collaboration with Engineering, User Experience Designers, and other team members
- Advocate for end users and stakeholders and serve as the domain expert
- Assess progress, disseminate lessons learned, and clarify next steps with the product team
- Manage cross-functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute product strategy
- Facilitate sessions and communicate product strategy across all organizational levels
- Typically report to the Product Management Manager or Senior Manager
Requirements:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Minimum education: high school diploma and/or GED
- Minimum 1 year of work experience
- Experience working as a Product Manager in a modern software development-based enterprise environment
- Experience with modern software development product management practices and agile methodologies
- Experience with extreme programming (XP) principles, including paired programming, test-driven development, and continuous deployment
- Experience working in a fast-paced, fluid environment where priorities shift regularly
- Experience communicating with and influencing functional and technical team members at all organizational levels
- Experience working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional software design and development team
- Experience creating, prioritizing, and accepting user stories
- Experience conducting user research and testing
- Experience identifying goals, metrics, and analytics to measure product value
- Experience conducting competitive research and analysis
- No certifications required
