Job Description
Part-time Project Associate supporting Chemin’s AI data annotation projects. Coordinating annotators, Mandarin and Cantonese workflows, quality checks, and client updates.
Responsibilities:
- Support Project Delivery Executives in coordinating project operations, people, timelines, and deliverables
- Plan ahead and help maintain clear priorities, schedules, and next steps
- Assist with project setup, workflows, documentation, trackers, guidelines, and communication channels
- Guide and support the remote Data Annotator community on project tasks
- Respond to annotator questions and clarify project instructions
- Monitor project progress and identify delays, risks, or quality issues
- Perform quality checks to maintain accuracy and consistency
- Coordinate work involving Mandarin and Cantonese language data
- Work with regional varieties of Mandarin used in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Mainland China
- Support work involving Cantonese used in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore
- Communicate regularly with internal team members to maintain alignment
- Support client communication, project updates, and clarification of client requirements
- Manage project administration and operational tasks accurately and on time
- Take initiative to resolve issues and improve project workflows
- Demonstrate ownership over assigned responsibilities and deliverables
- Remain composed and solution-oriented when handling difficult or unfamiliar challenges
Requirements:
- Students, fresh graduates, interns, and early-career professionals interested in project management, operations, AI, and people coordination are welcome
- Proficiency in Mandarin, including the ability to read, write, and converse confidently
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to communicate frequently, raise concerns early, and keep others updated
- Comfort working with and learning regional varieties of Mandarin
- Openness to learning Cantonese and understanding language usage differences across countries and communities
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
- Ability to structure work, plan ahead, and follow through on commitments
- Ability to coordinate multiple people in a remote working environment
- High level of ownership, initiative, and personal accountability
- Collaborative approach and ability to work well with people from different backgrounds
- Confidence taking on difficult, unfamiliar, or ambiguous challenges
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Willingness to engage professionally with clients and external stakeholders
- Proactive, self-driven attitude and strong desire to learn
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive
- Previous project management experience is not required
