Job Description
Remote Project Manager coordinating residential kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects for Kitchen Tune-Up. Managing schedules, materials, installers, budgets, quality, and homeowner communication.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate 10–20 active residential kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects simultaneously
- Review project scopes, plans, measurements, selections, specifications, budgets, and schedules before construction
- Develop, maintain, and update realistic project schedules
- Coordinate installers, trade partners, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and homeowners
- Confirm installer attendance, progress, materials, and next steps
- Identify delays, missing materials, and cost overruns and develop corrective action plans
- Track project milestones, including pre-construction walks, installations, inspections, walkthroughs, punch lists, and completion dates
- Protect project gross margin by managing labor, materials, change orders, rework, and scheduling
- Prepare and maintain detailed material lists and project-ordering trackers
- Coordinate ordering and delivery of cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, hardware, lighting, and related products
- Track order acknowledgments, lead times, deliveries, quantities, specifications, finishes, receipts, and inspections
- Review jobsite photographs, videos, installer reports, and project updates for quality control
- Maintain accurate project notes, schedules, photographs, documents, and communications
- Track deficiencies, punch-list work, callbacks, and warranty issues through completion
- Provide homeowners with timely project updates and respond to questions and concerns
- Coordinate walkthroughs and ensure punch-list items are documented and resolved
- Hold installers and trade partners accountable for schedules, communication, documentation, and commitments
- Participate in daily huddles, production meetings, operations meetings, and client calls
- Prepare meeting notes, action items, deadlines, and follow-up communications
- Monitor budgets, labor costs, material expenses, and gross-margin performance
- Prepare change-order information for management review and track approved change orders
- Report to the Operations Manager
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of project-management experience involving U.S. residential construction or remodeling
- Direct experience managing kitchen, bathroom, cabinetry, or residential renovation projects
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate more than five active projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of U.S. residential construction methods, terminology, and sequencing
- Working knowledge of cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and finish carpentry
- Experience reviewing plans, measurements, scopes of work, specifications, and product documentation
- Experience coordinating materials, installers, subcontractors, vendors, and project schedules
- Strong understanding of quality control, job costing, change orders, and gross-margin management
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with U.S. homeowners, installers, vendors, and team members
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
- Reliable computer, high-speed internet connection, headset, webcam, and distraction-free home workspace
- Ability to remain available and responsive throughout scheduled working hours
- Three professional supervisor references
- Must be available during required working hours in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone
- Preferred: high-end residential remodeling experience
- Preferred: experience working remotely for a U.S. construction or remodeling company
- Preferred: Buildertrend, ServiceMinder, 2020 Design, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, Zoom, or comparable systems
- Preferred: experience ordering cabinetry, refacing materials, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, and remodeling products
- Preferred: experience managing more than 10 active remodeling projects simultaneously
- Preferred: bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
- Preferred: relevant construction, design, estimating, or project-management education or certifications
