Job Description
PMHNP providing remote psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care for Medicaid patients through Third Space Therapy. Collaborating with multidisciplinary providers while using telehealth and EHR systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric evaluations to Medicaid patients
- Manage medications and prescribe psychotropic medications
- Provide ongoing psychiatric care
- Deliver confidential virtual sessions through a telehealth system
- Build and manage a diverse caseload through the referral network
- Collaborate with therapists and other providers in a multidisciplinary care team
- Develop patient-centered treatment plans
- Help expand access to behavioral healthcare for Medicaid populations
Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in good standing in Virginia
- National board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Prescriptive authority in Virginia
- Active DEA registration in Virginia
- Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and prescribing psychotropic medications, under supervision or independently
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other digital tools
- Quiet, HIPAA-compliant home office setup for confidential virtual sessions
- Fluency in English
- Strong clinical judgment managing psychiatric conditions across diverse populations
- Patient-centered approach to medication management and treatment planning
- Experience collaborating with therapists and other providers in a multidisciplinary care team
- Commitment to equity in mental health access for Medicaid populations
