Job Description
Rating Supervisor overseeing freight rating processes and billing activities for Saia. Supervising the team, ensuring accuracy in rate quotes, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the freight rating process, ensuring accurate rate quotes and billing activities.
- Supervises the rating team in evaluating data, developing rating methodologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Reviews and validates freight bills to ensure accurate application of rates and adherence to company policies.
- Analyzes performance metrics and conducts regular audits to identify discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and enhance processes.
- Develops and enforces rating methodologies and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance in billing practices.
- Partners with business partners and cross-functional teams to address customer inquiries and establish accurate rates and quotes.
- Facilitates training and development opportunities for team members to promote knowledge sharing and skill enhancement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of billing or related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, billing tools, and transportation application systems.
