Job Description

Recruitment Specialist leading full-cycle hiring and onboarding for Alamos Gold’s Canadian mining operations. Building talent pipelines, partnering with hiring managers, and supporting recruitment strategy remotely with occasional site travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for open positions
  • Recruit candidates using job posting sites, databases, social media, and other methods
  • Source candidates for hard-to-fill positions using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Screen resumes and conduct interviews to assess applicants’ knowledge, skills, experience, and aptitude
  • Build relationships with hiring managers and provide guidance and timely updates throughout the search process
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Partner with satellite HR teams to share best practices and identify recruitment efficiencies
  • Leverage social media platforms to strengthen the company brand and develop candidate pools
  • Onboard new employees and help integrate them into the company
  • Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to stakeholders
  • Lead and attend recruitment events, including job fairs and trade shows
  • Utilize, update, and maintain the UKG applicant tracking system
  • Contribute to the development of the recruitment strategy and alignment with the overall talent management strategy
  • Report to the Manager, Recruiting Operations

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of general recruitment experience
  • 2+ years of experience in mining or resource-based industries
  • Understanding of sourcing strategies and techniques
  • Ability to independently manage a high-volume recruitment workload
  • Proven ability to build successful partnerships with hiring managers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently
  • Resourcefulness, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills
  • Professional attitude and well-developed interpersonal skills
