Job Description

Research Director leading complex cancer research for Private Health Management, a patient healthcare advocacy company. Evaluating treatments, diagnostics, literature, and clinical trials for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead research efforts on complex cancer cases
  • Review client medical records and clinical histories
  • Identify and evaluate diagnostic and treatment options, including clinical trials and innovative evidence-based therapies worldwide
  • Develop and prioritize treatment strategies using medical literature and input from leading experts
  • Participate in client calls alongside clinicians to communicate research findings and support shared decision-making
  • Analyze patient records, including lab values, symptoms, medication histories, and clinical outcomes
  • Review and analyze medical literature; summarize articles and compare clinical study findings
  • Interpret molecular diagnostics and laboratory tests to support patient care decisions
  • Research and prioritize standard-of-care, guideline-based, and investigational treatment options
  • Identify and connect with key opinion leaders and subject-matter experts
  • Identify and evaluate clinical trials using spreadsheets, databases, supporting evidence, and trial-site calls
  • Create patient education documents, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, graphs, and charts

Requirements:

  • PhD in a science or healthcare field required
  • Early- to mid-career professional experience in oncology, including research, clinical, or translational work across any cancer type
  • Knowledge of research best practices
  • Well-developed medical literature research capabilities, including PubMed and Google Scholar
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Service orientation
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to make rapid decisions amid ambiguity and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with peers, coworkers, and external experts
  • Must live in and physically perform all work in the United States
