Job Description
Retail District Manager leading merchandiser teams for Premium Retail Services, a retail sales and merchandising agency. Managing in-store execution, projects, staffing, performance, and territory coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Retail Coverage Merchandiser and Lead Merchandiser teams in the assigned geographic area
- Interview and hire candidates; onboard and train new associates
- Manage performance and career development; handle conflicts and personnel issues; provide coaching and support
- Develop and maintain understanding of the company business model, client and customer expectations, and work processes
- Spend a minimum of 50% of time working in-store
- Manage assigned work to completion, on time, and with high-quality results
- Review project details, schedules, and supporting documentation
- Assign work, monitor progress, audit work, answer questions, solve problems, resolve personnel issues, and adjust resources
- Ensure delivery of necessary materials, supplies, and equipment
- Optimize selling effectiveness in assigned territories and identify training and process improvement needs
- Partner with store personnel and the team to achieve merchandising excellence
- Communicate schedules, changes, goals, and expectations; alert management to unsafe acts or conditions
- Ensure policy compliance, equipment maintenance, expense reporting, and activity reporting
- Communicate territory responsibilities and coverage analyses using MEI and other technology
- Meet physical requirements and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Some college with prior management/supervisory experience and a minimum of 2+ years industry experience
- Prior sales agent, retail, customer service or reset responsibility
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision making and leadership skills
- Effective communication skills
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Quick learner and flexibility with changing work environments
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid transportation
- Ability to drive a car for extended periods of time
