Job Description
Roadside Technician helping Allianz Partners, a global roadside assistance and insurance technology provider, diagnose and repair vehicles. Managing customer recovery decisions independently from a fully equipped home-based van.
Responsibilities:
- Attend roadside assistance calls and assess situations
- Diagnose vehicle faults using modern diagnostic tools
- Repair vehicles at the scene where safe and possible
- Decide whether repair or recovery is safest and arrange professional recovery or dealer workshop attention when needed
- Own each job end-to-end, communicating clearly with customers and providing reassurance
- Operate and maintain a fully equipped van
- Manage tools and parts
- Follow safety procedures and keep accurate system notes
- Meet service, safety and quality standards while working toward achievable targets
- Use AI, machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools responsibly in line with data governance, security and ethical-use standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a vehicle or roadside technician, working independently at the scene
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with modern equipment
- Confident, calm customer communication
- Comfortable using IT, mobile apps and diagnostic software
- Full UK driving licence and confidence driving a fully equipped van
- Relevant technical qualifications, such as a manufacturer apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds Parts I & II, NVQ/B-Tech diploma
- Existing EV credentials are welcome; otherwise, willingness to complete EV Level 3 IMI Accredited and ATA Level 3 roadside diagnostics training
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts between 7am and 10pm, including some weekends and Bank Holidays
- Ability to travel across Plymouth or Belfast and surrounding areas

- £8,000 bonus, plus a guaranteed additional £3,000 bonus in your first 12 months
- Realistic OTE of £55,000; top performers earn north of £60,000
- No overnight or 12-hour shifts
- Average 42.75 hours per week between 7am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday
- Alternating start times (7am/11am)
- Two weekends off per month
