Job Description

Robotics DevRel Engineer supporting Voxel51’s open-source FiftyOne platform for robotics AI. Building integrations, technical content, courses, and community events for robotics practitioners.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical answers to open source users on Slack, StackOverflow, and Reddit, including robotics engineers working on real-world deployment challenges
  • Author original blogs, tutorials, and documentation at the intersection of robot learning and data infrastructure
  • Self-produce short social media videos and long-format videos on technical robotics topics
  • Create and deliver original online and in-person courses covering computer vision and machine learning for robotics applications
  • Code FiftyOne integrations with robotics technologies, models, datasets, simulation environments, sensor data formats, and perception frameworks
  • Help organize Meetups and hackathons
  • Speak at in-person and virtual conferences and workshops focused on robotics and autonomous systems
  • Work directly with the open source FiftyOne community

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional ML experience with direct experience applying computer vision to robotics systems
  • MS or PhD in computer science, robotics, or a related field, with an emphasis on computer vision
  • Hands-on experience with robotics-specific data types and tools, including MCAP/LeRobot and Isaac Sim
  • Proficiency with Python
  • Expertise with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and NumPy
  • Great writing ability
  • Proficiency with a screen recording/editing suite
  • Links to blogs, articles, or papers written
  • Links to conferences or events spoken at
  • Links to open source communities where the candidate is an active participant
  • Links to GitHub repositories where code is visible
  • Ability to work in a remote-first, cooperative environment using GitHub and Slack
