Job Description

MEP avionics technician maintaining satellite connectivity, ISR sensors, and aircraft avionics. Supporting A2G International’s outsourced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide MEP/Avionics maintenance support to sustain ISR operations
  • Configure and monitor satellite hub operations to maintain connectivity and continuous operational support
  • Operate and maintain ISR sensors including FMV/FLIR, SIGINT, SAR, and BLoS systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair avionics systems including communications, navigation, autopilot, weather radar, transponders, and glass cockpit systems
  • Work during training or deployment rotations supporting CONUS or OCONUS collection missions
  • Use electronic test equipment including multimeters, power meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and TMDE
  • Perform maintenance operations for special mission systems according to policies and procedures
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and networks and provide resolutions
  • Install, implement, and configure mission systems
  • Install avionics components and wiring according to STCs, wiring diagrams, and drawings
  • Prepare and present technical reports, findings, and recommendations
  • Participate in design reviews, integration testing, and system validation
  • Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and partners as required
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, standards, safety, environmental, security, housekeeping, and training requirements
  • Operate special-purpose and regular vehicles as authorized
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Report to the Lead Mechanic

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Airframe & Powerplant certificate preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ recent experience in general aviation
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Airborne ISR Mission Systems experience
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts, and schematics
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Knowledge and experience using computers and aircraft software
  • Must successfully pass a background check
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment and active-employment drug screenings
  • Currently possess or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance, or higher
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Familiarity with DCMA 8210 & FGOP preferred
  • Experience with Cessna 337 Skymaster preferred
  • Experience with Garmin G5, Garmin 430 and 530 preferred
  • Sensor manufacturer certification (L3 Wescam or FLIR) for depot-level sensor maintenance is a plus
  • Must work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, mission dependent
