Job Description
Sales Support Analyst streamlining group insurance quoting, underwriting, enrollments, and broker support. Supporting sales teams with Salesforce, spreadsheets, proposals, and client service workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Streamline workflow in the Sales Department and assist Sales Representatives with quotes, sales, and services for small group and group-related products
- Review group applications based on carrier guidelines
- Follow up with Brokers and Sales Representatives on pending items
- Review quote requests, oversee submissions, and report quote errors
- Assist sales teams with group health and ancillary product quotes, sales, and services
- Create medical and ancillary market-segment spreadsheets
- Process New Hire Worksheets and support the Ancillary RFP Process
- Distribute ISR proposals and executive summaries
- Beta test quotes and provide feedback to IT
- Schedule, order, maintain, and coordinate enrollment materials
- Contact brokers and clients to set up enrollments and communicate plan information to the Sales Team
- Update quotes, run employee worksheets, and assist with office administration
- Schedule carrier, vendor, and internal meetings
- Prepare materials, kits, and quotes for regional seminars and broker events
- Maintain familiarity with underwriting guidelines and answer pre-sale underwriting questions
- Scrub new case submissions, verify completeness, review pending items, and prioritize workflow to meet 24-hour underwriting turn time
- Provide underwriting updates and customer service to internal and external customers
- Support retention efforts by pulling renewals
- Update daily activities and client information in Salesforce and submit service tickets
- Submit CX tickets, research service requests, retrieve ID cards, look up providers and medications, and verify group enrollment
- Assist with new-hire onboarding and training schedules
- Perform other assigned business tasks or functions
Requirements:
- Fluent English and effective communication skills
- At least 2+ years of experience in an office administrative role, sales support role, or with group insurance plans preferred
- Strong people skills and phone skills
- Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Adherence to PHI and HIPAA guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CA Life & Health license required; applicants without one must obtain it within three months of hire
- Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional standing and walking
- Adequate hearing for phone work
- Close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to use a keyboard and other office equipment
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
